Giedre Kazlauskas is an experienced high school English teacher at Community Consolidated High School District 230, with a tenure beginning in August 2007. At Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, responsibilities include teaching literature, managing ESL programs, coaching the speech team, and publishing the literary magazine, as well as launching the International Pen Pal project in 2013. Giedre served as Vice President for the World Lithuanian Youth Association from 2010 to 2013, advocating for the needs of Lithuanian youth and fostering connections with various organizations and governmental bodies. Previous experience includes working as a teaching assistant at Maironis Lithuanian School from 1999 to 2001. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Literature from Northwestern University, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature & Secondary Education from Eastern Illinois University.
