Carrie Schuman is a skilled professional in climate resilience and marine science, currently serving as the Principal Climate Resilience Specialist at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida since December 2023. Previously, Carrie held the position of Coastal Resiliency Manager at the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation from August 2021 to November 2023. Experience includes roles as a Covid-19 Case Investigator with Maxim Healthcare/New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, where over 1,100 interactions were completed, and as a Visiting Marine Science Faculty member at Coastal Carolina University. Carrie's earlier career includes impactful roles in research, education, and outreach across various institutions, including the University of Florida and Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences. An accomplished academic, Carrie has secured a PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology, along with a Master's in Marine Science and an undergraduate degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology.
