F. Antonio Medrano serves as an Assistant Professor at both the Conrad Blucher Institute for Surveying & Science and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, focusing on the Department of Computer Science and the Geospatial Computer Science PhD Program since January 2019. With a strong background in geography, Medrano obtained a Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara, where additional academic credentials include an MS in Media Arts and Technology and a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College. Previous professional experience encompasses roles as a Research Specialist at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, cofounder and Algorithms Engineer at Arogi, and postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Spatial Studies, UCSB. Medrano has also contributed as a visiting professor and has a notable musical career as a bass singer with Airplay and The House Jacks.
