Jiedi Wu is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Quantitative Geophysicist at ConocoPhillips in Alaska since September 2019. Jiedi Wu's expertise includes creating regional structural maps using 2D and 3D seismic datasets, updating 3D velocity models, and interpreting microseismic results to enhance understanding of well spacing and fracture dynamics. Previous roles include Project Geophysicist at PGS, where Jiedi Wu conducted seismic interpretation and evaluated petroleum charge systems, and Geophysicist at Hess Corporation, focusing on seismic data interpretation in diverse regions including the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa. Jiedi Wu's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Virginia Tech and a Master's degree in Geophysics and Seismology from Indiana University Bloomington.
