Grace Scire

Internal Medicine Residency Program Manager at Connecticut Institute For Communities

Grace Scire has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Grace began their career as a State Representative for the Connecticut General Assembly in 2002. After serving in this role for a year, they transitioned to become an Attorney at Law, owning and operating their own law practice from 1988 to 2004.

In 2004, Grace joined the Independent Living Center as a Disability Specialist & Advocate, where they promoted programs and advocated for the rights of individuals with disabilities. During this time, they also conducted ADA compliance training, drafted legislation, and developed outreach programs.

In 2006, Grace became the Chief Operations Officer at BayouClinic, a Federally Qualified Health Center. In this role, they built relationships with various organizations and implemented office processes, policies, and procedures. Grace also participated in strategic planning, grant applications, and Board activities.

After their tenure at BayouClinic, Grace served as the Gulf Coast Regional Director for Boat People SOS, a national non-profit organization that supports Vietnamese individuals and communities. Grace was responsible for strategic planning, funding oversight, and program management. Grace also formed Boards and developed funding partnerships to support programs and staff.

In 2014, Grace joined the Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. (CIFC) as the Internal Medicine Residency Program Manager. In this role, they provided administrative supervision to residents and designed program improvements aligned with federal guidelines. Grace also prepared reports for federal agencies and managed annual program agreements.

Most recently, Grace became a Member of the Board of Directors for Green Chimneys in 2018.

Grace Scire has pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law at Brooklyn Law School. Prior to that, they earned a bachelor's degree in Education & Psychology from Brooklyn College. Additionally, they have obtained a master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Wagner College. The exact start and end years for each educational experience are not provided.
