James White is a Professor in the Department of Plant Biology at Rutgers University, where teaching and research focus on the biology and ecology of fungi since August 1995. Previously, James served as an Associate Professor at Auburn University Montgomery from September 1988 to July 1995, concentrating on Botany and Ecology, with research on fungal endophytes of grasses. From September 1987 to August 1988, James worked as a Post-Doctoral Investigator at Ohio State University, studying fossil fungi. Academically, James holds a Ph.D. in Botany from The University of Texas at Austin and both a B.S. and M.S. in Botany and Plant Pathology from Auburn University.
