Steve Joos has over three decades of experience in engineering and management roles within the telecommunications and transportation sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of the R&D Infrastructure group at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. since April 2012, Steve provides leadership and support for development and QA groups, overseeing Solaris, Linux, and Windows platforms for testing and reference environments. Previously, Steve held the position of Principal Software Test Engineer at ComtechTCS, where interactions with Operations shaped the testing strategies for new products and releases. Prior professional experience includes a tenure as a Principal Engineer at Verizon Wireless and as an Electronics Field Engineer at Westinghouse Transportation. Steve’s educational background includes coursework in Electrical Engineering from Miami Dade College and an Associate degree in Electronics Technology from Penn Technical Institute.
