Greg Galvin

SVP Technology and Solutions at ComQi Inc.

Greg Galvin has a diverse work experience spanning over decades. Greg started their career as a Software Developer at Comnetix, where they led the development of a booking and Mugshot imaging system for clients such as the Metro Toronto Police Department. Greg then joined Sybase Canada as a Senior Consultant, providing technical expertise and leadership across various industries. Greg'scontracts included working as a Technical Architect and Project Lead for a government online initiative and a web-based case management application.

In 2004, Galvin became the Director of Systems Development at Symcor, where they managed a large development organization responsible for delivering integrated software solutions for the financial industry. Greg oversaw a variety of systems, including web services, web applications, and vendor product integration.

After leaving Symcor, Galvin started their own consulting company called Galvinized Solutions, where they served as Owner and Principal Consultant. Greg then joined Adlib Software as the Director of Engineering Services, leading a team in delivering custom-built solutions for clients throughout North America. Greg also played a crucial role in designing and implementing a new software solution for a major US financial institution to meet regulatory requirements.

In 2017, Galvin took on the role of SVP Technology and Solutions at ComQi Inc. Greg oversaw all aspects of technology, including product management, development, QA, and IT. Greg also directed a study to determine whether to continue hosting their own cloud-based content management system or migrate to another provider. This resulted in their migration to the Google Cloud Platform.

Alongside their professional career, Galvin pursued a passion for skiing and worked as a Ski Instructor at Blue Mountain Resort.

Greg Galvin attended the University of Waterloo from 1987 to 1992, where they obtained a degree in Math with a field of study in Computer Science. In 2010 and 2011, they completed three certificate programs from Cornell University, namely, a Certificate in High Performance Leadership (eCornell), a Certificate in Change Leadership (eCornell), and a Certificate in Managing for Execution. Greg also has a record of attending Sheridan College, although details regarding their degree and field of study are unavailable.
