Beverley Shongile Chomela is a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst at The Competition Commission South Africa since December 2015, where expertise in competition law, economics, and industry dynamics contributes to the investigation and analysis of mergers and acquisition cases. Previously, Beverley held roles as a Research Assistant and Graduate Trainee within the Market Health Inquiry Division, focusing on competition in the private healthcare sector. Prior to joining The Competition Commission, Beverley served as an Intern-Junior Economist at the Department of Trade and Industry in South Africa, providing research and policy support. Educational qualifications include a Master of Commerce in Applied Development Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) Honours in Economics from the University of Johannesburg, along with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Economics from the University of Pretoria.
