Matthew Anderton has extensive experience in clinical operations. From 2021 onwards, they have held the position of Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations at COMPASS Pathways. Prior to that, they worked at Wave Life Sciences as the Senior Director and Head of Clinical Operations from 2019 to 2021. Before that, Matthew worked at Summit Therapeutics as an Associate Director of Clinical Operations and Senior Clinical Trial Manager from 2017 to 2019. Matthew also held the role of Senior Clinical Study Manager at Oxford BioMedica from 2015 to 2017. From 2007 to 2015, Matthew worked at Servier, where they held various roles including International Clinical Study Support Manager, Clinical Study Support Manager, and Clinical Research Associate. Prior to their industry experience, they were a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Oxford in 2006.

Matthew Anderton completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology at The University of Sheffield, from 1999 to 2002. Matthew further pursued their education at the University of Oxford, earning a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmacology from 2002 to 2006.
