Director Of Education- Under 18 Programs at Compass Health Center

Elizabeth Recinto, MA, M.ED, NBCT has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Elizabeth has served as the Director of Education for Under 18 Programs at Compass Health Center since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Education for the Adolescent Program at Compass Health Center from August 2015 to January 2023. Elizabeth also has experience in the Chicago Public Schools system, where they worked as a Special Education Teacher from October 2013 to June 2015. Elizabeth has also worked as an Educational Specialist at NorthShore University HealthSystem from November 2012 to August 2013. Elizabeth started their career in education as a Special Education Teacher in the Chicago Public Schools system from September 2006 to August 2012. During their time there, they also took on additional roles such as Teacher Leader and Facilitator of the Co-Teaching and Collaboration PLC. Elizabeth began their career as a Student Teacher at Niles Township High School District 219 from January 2006 to May 2006.

Elizabeth Recinto, MA, M.ED, NBCT obtained their Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction from DePaul University in the years 1996 to 2001. Elizabeth then pursued a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from National Louis University between 2004 and 2006. In 2008 to 2009, they completed a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Elizabeth has obtained several certifications including the Director of Special Education Endorsement from the Illinois State Board of Education in 2015, the National Board Certification as an Early Childhood through Young Adulthood Exceptional Needs Specialist from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 2017, and the Type 10- Learning & Behavior Specialist and Type 75- General Administrative Certificate - Education from the Illinois State Board of Education in 2006 and 2009 respectively.
