Fernando San Martin has extensive experience in various roles related to digital transformation, business strategy, and entrepreneurship. Fernando is currently the Head of Digital Transformation, Digital Business, and Innovation at CESCE, where they lead the digital transformation process and oversees the implementation of digital solutions. Prior to this, they worked as an External Advisor for the European Commission and a Founder at Babel Bridges, a non-profit program promoting cultural exchange. Fernando also served as a Board Member and CSO at Agerpix Technologies, focusing on agrotech solutions, and as the Co-Founder and CEO of BTwinBooks, a company managing bundling systems in the publishing sector. Additionally, Fernando was a Partner and Member of the Board at Bamboo Seed Capital and a Co-founder and Member of the Strategy and Institutional Committee at the Spanish Association of the Digital Book Companies. Fernando has also held various roles at Barrabes Group, including Government and Public Administration Director, Strategy & Strategy Services Director, Barrabes Finance Director, and Commercial Director. Fernando has contributed to start-up ecosystems as a Mentor at IBM Startup Connect and served as the CEO and in Strategy Advisory Services at StepOne Ventures, where they focused on developing start-up ecosystems and enhancing market bridges between Spain and the United States.

Fernando San Martin has an educational background that includes an Ex-MBA in Business Administration from IE Business School in 2005. Prior to that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Innovation Management and Technology Policies at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2000 to 2002. Fernando holds a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Electricity and Electronics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they obtained between 1991 and 1996. Before their university education, Fernando attended Escuelas Pias from 1980 to 1991.
