Michael Fenech is currently a Board Member at Community Mutual Group. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Ignite Financial from January 2007 to December 2009. Before that, they were the Chief Operating Officer Australasia at HSBC Bank Australia Limited from July 2003 to January 2007.

Fenech started their career in 1987 as a Snr Manager Fixed Interest at National Australia Bank. Michael then moved to Macquarie Group in 1991 as an Associate Director Fixed Interest. In 1993, they joined Cuscal as General Manager Commercial Services and stayed there until 2003 when they joined HSBC Bank Australia Limited.

Michael Fenech graduated with a B Ec from La Trobe University, majoring in Mathematics & Theirtory. Michael then went on to complete a graduate program at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Michael is now a company director.
