Garrett Locke is currently a Children's Specialist at Providence Community Library, where they provide reader's advisory and coordinate literacy programs for children and young adults. Previously, Garrett facilitated workshops on conflict resolution and community building as an AmeriCorps Member with the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence, and served as a peer coordinator for literacy volunteers at the Feinstein Institute for Public Service. Garrett has held various roles in service and education, including volunteer tutoring and working with LGBTQ youth at Youth Pride, Inc. They earned a B.A. in Public and Community Service Studies from Providence College.
