Emily Thompson has extensive work experience in the mental health and community programming field. Emily most recently serves as the President and CEO at Community Friendship Inc since November 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at CHRIS 180, including Vice President of Community Programming from October 2017 to November 2022, and Program Director for Keeping Families Together and Adoptions/Foster Care from October 2012 to October 2017. Emily also had positions at CHRIS 180 as CME Assistant Director from January 2010 to July 2012, Counseling Center Operations Manager from June 2009 to October 2010, and Utilization Manager from May 2007 to May 2009. Additionally, they worked as a Team Lead at Clinical Alternative Resource Associates in 2007 and as an Assessment Specialist/Utilization Manager in 2006.
Emily Thompson obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Georgia College & State University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Emily then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Psychology from the same institution, completing it from 1999 to 2001.
