Beth Whitley has been a secondary school English teacher since 2003 and spent several years teaching abroad in Australia and Sweden. Now settled in Sutton, she is also a fundraising coordinator for a national charity and has been closely involved with fundraising volunteers for the past 5 years. A mum of three she has a daughter with profound disabilities, so has been on the receiving end of many of Sutton's excellent services for those in need, which has made her committed to giving something back to those services and to supporting the voluntary sector through her role as an Community Action Sutton trustee.
