Nia Cottonham is currently serving as the Regional Program Manager at Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region since July 2024. Prior to this role, Nia was the Senior Implementation Manager at Education Opens Doors, Inc. from July 2021 to June 2024, ascending from the position of Implementation Manager. Nia's previous experience also includes serving as an Elementary School Teacher and Middle School English Language Arts & Reading Department Chair within the Dallas Independent School District from August 2016 to July 2021. Nia participated in the Rising Leaders Fellowship with Teach For America in early 2020 and was an Americorps Member from 2016 to August 2018, during which time Nia was selected from a competitive applicant pool to teach in under-resourced public schools. Nia holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University, earned in 2015.
