Rod Van has almost 20 years of experience at Board level and senior management roles; in which he has utilised strategic and commercial awareness to maximise business opportunities and lead cultural change. He has held the role of Chief Executive Officer and Director for Cape Bouvard Investments, one of Australia’s largest private property investment and property development companies, since December 2013.

Rod graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Biological Sciences from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 1988. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company DirectorsFor the past two years, Rod has been a business mentor for Spark Co-Lab; part of the Stanford University Spark Program, which brings together business, universities and the research sector to develop and commercialise medical innovations. He is a member of The Executive Connection (TEC); an international CEO mentoring and coaching organisation. Rod commenced as Treasurer for the Communicare Board of Management in April 2018.
