Tim Baird is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the public and private sectors. Currently serving as the Assistant Secretary of the Financial System Division and Head of the Sydney Office at the Commonwealth Treasury since January 2018, Tim has held significant roles including Managing Director and Branch Head of the Foreign Investment Division. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Director at J.P. Morgan from 2010 to July 2016 and Manager at Macquarie Group from 2005 to 2010. Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, completed between 1999 and 2004, and furthered education at The University of British Columbia.
