Ruben D. Varela is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and product development. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at ComEd since July 2022, Ruben has previously held multiple significant roles at Navistar Inc from October 1994 to October 2021, including Senior Engineering Manager for Build Operations, where oversight included the master schedule for vehicle retrofits and program support. Additional roles at Navistar encompassed Service Readiness Manager, Global Product Manager, and various engineering positions focusing on service parts and product improvements. Ruben holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Master of Business Administration in Operations Management from DePaul Driehaus College of Business.
