Jennifer Cunningham has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Jennifer is currently serving as the Vice President of Mission Advancement for Commonwealth Catholic Charities, where they oversee development, communications, and public relations activities. Prior to this, Jennifer was the Director of Fund Development at Better Housing Coalition, where they directed all fundraising activities for the organization. Jennifer also served as the Director of Development at Virginia Repertory Theatre, where they raised funds for the largest professional theatre in Central Virginia. Jennifer has a strong background in marketing and development communications, having served as the Director of Development and Communications at Virginia Voice and as a Freelance Communications Professional for various small companies and nonprofits. Jennifer started their career at Smith Turf & Irrigation, where they provided administrative support and organized events. Jennifer has a solid track record of successfully managing fundraising activities and securing grants and corporate sponsorships.

Jennifer Cunningham, CFRE, holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jennifer also obtained certifications in Fund Development, Grant Writing & Grant Management from the Institute on Philanthropy. In 2020, they received the prestigious Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification from CFRE International. Additionally, Jennifer participated in the Institute on Philanthropy at UR.
