Annie Ryan is an experienced professional in refugee employment and integration, currently serving as the Economic Self-Sufficiency Program Manager at Commonpoint Queens since October 2022, overseeing programs that assist newly arrived refugees, asylees, and humanitarian parolees in achieving financial stability. Previously, as a Refugee Employment Coordinator at HIAS New York before its merger with Commonpoint Queens, Annie supported individuals in securing employment and adapting to life in the United States. Annie has held various roles in organizations such as HIAS, Community Impact at Columbia University, and the International Rescue Committee, focusing on employment services, case management for vulnerable populations, and workforce development. Annie earned a Master of Arts in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University and holds a degree from the University of Vermont, demonstrating a strong academic foundation in social justice and humanitarian issues.
