Kathryn Lyon currently serves as the Head of Client Services at Common Trust, where responsibilities include facilitating the transition to employee ownership for small and mid-sized businesses. Prior to this role, Kathryn was a Strategic Partnerships Specialist at the City University of New York, where a team was established to forge private sector partnerships aimed at enhancing employment outcomes for graduates. Kathryn's earlier experience includes consulting for BJH Advisors, focusing on economic development and affordable housing projects, and serving as Deputy Director of Real Estate and Planning at Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, where commercial attraction and economic development strategies were executed. In earlier positions, Kathryn managed business services for over 450 small businesses and successfully raised significant funding for nonprofit initiatives. Educational qualifications include a Masters in Urban Planning with a focus on Economic Development and Housing from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business. Additionally, Kathryn is a graduate of Coro Leadership New York.
