Mike Xakellis has a long and varied career in the technology industry. In 1994, they began working at Mercury Interactive as an Application Engineer, and was subsequently promoted to Sales Engineer, Manager of Sales Engineering, Senior Manager of Professional Services, and Director of Online Services. In 2001, they founded Common Goal Systems, a student information systems (SIS) company for the K-12 education market. In 2013, they co-founded Glidera Inc., a digital currency company headquartered in Chicago IL, which was sold to Kraken, a leading bitcoin exchange, in September 2016. Investors achieved ~30x return on investment as a result of the transaction.
Mike Xakellis received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 1991, having started in 1987. Mike then attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1993.
