Jose Javier Gruenberg Vilchez is an accomplished economist and technical assistant with notable experience in various organizations. Currently serving as an Economist at the Philippine Competition Commission since September 2022 and as a Technical Assistant for the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines since March 2022, Jose has conducted significant research and hosted events focused on humanitarian action and disaster relief. Previously, leadership roles include serving as President of the UP Marine Biological Society and authoring articles as a Student Correspondent for the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Noteworthy internship experiences include working with UNDP Philippines on environmental financial policies and supporting initiatives related to poverty and sustainable development. Jose holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, with minors in International Relations and Affairs and Speech Communication, from the University of the Philippines.
