Josh Samuelson has extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as Police Captain in the Operations Division and Accreditation Manager for the Zionsville Police Department since February 2010. Responsibilities include managing the accreditation process to ensure compliance with best practices. Prior roles include Police Lieutenant and Investigations Section Commander, Police Detective Sergeant, and Senior Police Detective. Samuelson has also been an Assessor for CALEA since January 2024 and served as a Patrolman and Reserve Police Officer at the Michigan City Police Department from June 2006 to February 2010. Earlier career experience includes an internship at the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in General Health Sciences, Biology, and Forensic Science from Purdue University.
