Vera S. is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in competition law and regulation. Currently serving as Chief of Staff in the Competition Division at CNMC (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia) since September 2017, Vera S. previously held the position of Associate Professor at IE University from September 2014 to August 2021. Prior to this, Vera S. served as an Advisor to the Council and the President at CNMC from 2008 to October 2013 and was a Senior Associate in the Antitrust & EU Law Division at Garrigues from June 1999 to August 2008. Educational qualifications include an LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School, a DESUP in EC Law & Politics from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a degree in Jurídico-Comunitario from Universidad CEU San Pablo.
