Pernilla Fagergren occupies the role of Director Clinical Translation at CombiGene since January 2021, overseeing the clinical development of innovative gene therapies. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Medical Affairs for N&I-Fertility/Endocrinology at Merck Group from November 2016 to December 2020, where responsibilities encompassed management of medical science liaisons and team development. As a Medical Advisor at Merck Group, Pernilla contributed to the medical strategy for Neurology products in Sweden and managed scientific relations with key opinion leaders. Earlier roles at Karo Bio AB include Staff Scientist, where scientific strategy for neuroprotective pharmacology was a focus, as well as senior leadership positions in pharmacology and research. Education includes a PhD in Experimental Neuroscience from Karolinska Institutet and a Master's degree in Biochemistry from Umeå University.
