Lucille M. Torres-Deas, MD, FACP, currently serves as the Medical Director at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and is an Associate Professor at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where roles include Wellness Medical Director and Primary Care Physician. Torres-Deas is actively involved in leadership and diversity efforts, as exemplified by the position of Co-Chair for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at Allen Hospital. In addition to these roles, Torres-Deas participates as a member of the Associate Chiefs and Leaders of General Internal Medicine and has been recognized as a Scholar in the Community-Based Participatory Research Program at the Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research. Recent leadership training includes participation in the Society of General Internal Medicine’s Unified Leadership Training for Diversity and the NHMA Leadership Fellowship, focusing on advancing Latino physician leadership and health advocacy. Torres-Deas holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University.
