Claire Owen has had a diverse work experience in the legal field. Claire started their career as a Leadership Consultant at Kappa Kappa Gamma in 2005. In 2009, they became an Attorney at Stinson Morrison Hecker, where they worked until 2011. From 2011 to 2015, Claire served as a Legal Counsel at O'Reilly Auto Parts. After that, they joined Stinson Leonard Street LLP as an Attorney from 2015 to 2016. Currently, Claire holds the position of Vice President and General Counsel at Columbia Insurance Group since September 2020, after joining as an Associate Legal Counsel in 2017.

Claire Owen has a B.S. in Agricultural Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Claire also obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law.
