Chris Lopez serves as the Community Relationship Manager for the Southwest Region at the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority since November 2020, focusing on building collaborative relationships with housing and economic development stakeholders in the Four Corners region. Prior experience includes roles such as EHS Specialist at Kinder Morgan, Regulatory Specialist at Energy Inspection Services, and Land Manager at D. J. Simmons, Inc., where regulatory compliance and permitting were key responsibilities. Additional contributions were made as the Director of the Office of Surface Mining Regulatory Program for the Southwest Conservation Corps, overseeing a national initiative across ten states. Chris has a strong background in planning and project management from earlier roles in local government and regional development organizations, complemented by educational credentials that include a Master’s degree in Community & Regional Planning and a Bachelor’s degree in History/Biology.
