Rachael Abler

Associate Director Of Outdoor Education at Colorado College

Rachael Abler has a diverse work experience in the outdoor education field. Rachael is currently working at Colorado College as the Associate Director of Outdoor Education, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Assistant Director of Outdoor Education at Colorado College from November 2018 to October 2022.

Before joining Colorado College, Rachael worked as an Outdoor Education Specialist at the college from July 2015 to November 2018. Rachael Abler obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Deaf Education from Michigan State University in 2009. Rachael then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they attended the National Outdoor Leadership School for a brief period and obtained a certification as an Outdoor Educator in Mountaineering and Rock Climbing. Additionally, they hold certifications in AIARE Level 1 from AIARE and Wilderness First Responder from NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI), although the specific years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
