Ian Whelan is a seasoned professional in the maritime industry, currently serving as Procurement Senior Manager at Colonna's Shipyard since June 2015. Whelan has also held roles such as Subcontracts Program Manager and Ship Superintendent during this tenure. Prior experience includes an internship at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) where responsibilities involved indicative ship design, power and electrical load analysis, and weapons integration. Ian also completed a prior internship with ICI Services. Whelan earned a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech, completing the degree in 2015.
