Charles Smith is the founder and driving force behind Collision Management Systems (CMS), taking it from concept through to securing of private equity backing and launch in 2012.

CMS is now a well-established, award winning business with global brands trusting in its technology to better manage their risk and insurance profile. Before CMS, Charles spent his time as an Engineer at Loughborough University, focusing on a wide range of automotive and technical engineering subjects.

Having spent several years immersed in the insurance technology arena, Charles hasa deep knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of telematics and vehicle data.

This provides him wth a unique understanding of how the insurance market interacts with telematics/connected vehicle data and how it will evolve in the future
