Val Akkapeddi currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Collectors, having previously held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Microsoft, where leadership in Creative Engineering at Xandr was a key focus. With extensive experience in software engineering management, Val played a significant role at CLEAR, developing a biometrics platform and leading a team to create scalable systems. Val also led Risk & Compliance engineering for CLS Group and contributed as a Senior Consultant at Infusion, primarily focused on major banking clients. Early career experience includes software engineering roles at Barnes & Noble and United Parcel Service, along with internships that provided foundational skills in software development. Val holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Applied Math from New Jersey Institute of Technology and pursued an M.S. in Professional & Technical Communication.
