Kevin McGinnis has a wealth of experience in sales engineering, business development, and design engineering. Kevin started their career in 2004 as a Design Engineer for Caterpillar, where they learned to have clear and competent communication with co-workers, customers, and management. In 2008, they became a Manager at Team Tech Engineering, Inc, and a Design Engineer at Adams Thermal Systems. In 2011, they worked as a Test Engineer at Advanced Technology Services. In 2013, they returned to Adams Thermal Systems as an Aftermarket Product Manager and Engineering Consultant. In 2014, they became a Sales Engineer at GEA Heat Exchangers, where they were responsible for sales of industrial heat exchangers. In 2016, they moved to Kelvion as a Channel Sales Manager and Sales Director of Heavy Industries and Mining. In 2020, they joined Colectica as Director of Business Development, supporting the Data Documentation Initiative and FAIR Guiding Principles. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Sales Engineer at Hallock Company Inc, overseeing the southeast Minnesota territory.

Kevin McGinnis attended South Dakota Mines from 1999-2004, where they earned a Mechanical Engineering degree and a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
