Kara Calvert currently serves as the Head of US Policy at Coinbase since November 2021. Previously, Kara was a Partner at Franklin Square Group from January 2009 to December 2021, where advocacy on innovation issues for technology companies was a primary focus, particularly in financial services, emerging technologies, health technology, and export controls. Prior to that, Kara held the position of Director of Government Relations at the Information Technology Industry Council from August 2005 to January 2009, and was a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. Senate from June 2001 to August 2005. Kara earned a degree from the University of Wyoming between 1997 and 2001.
