Richard Kovalevsky KC is a seasoned legal professional with over 30 years of experience in criminal defense, specializing in white-collar crime, regulatory and internal investigations, and civil litigation. As Partner and Head of Criminal Defence at Cohen & Gresser LLP since November 2020, Richard has effectively represented high net worth individuals, directors, and corporations in complex financial disputes, including fraud, money laundering, and insider trading. Prior to this role, Richard served as Partner and Head of the Financial Crime department at Stewarts, where the Financial Crime Department was expanded to enhance client services. Richard’s career also includes a notable tenure as a King's Counsel at 2 Bedford Row, where extensive advisory and representation services were provided in criminal-related matters. Richard holds an LLB Hons degree from The University of Manchester.
