Sara Castro has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sara started their career as an Administrative Assistant in the Accounting Department at VAPE - PRODUÇÃO ENERGETICA S.A. in 1999. Sara then moved on to Endutex - Coated Technical Textiles as an Administrative Assistant in the Export Sale Division in 2000. Sara later joined Brand & Costa - Oficina de Animação, Lda. as an Event Producer from 2003 to 2006.

In 2010, they became a Journalist at Localvisão TV, where they worked until 2016. Sara then worked as a Communication course coordinator at Ensiguarda - Escola Profissional da Guarda from January to June 2018. Sara also served as a Communication, Marketing, and PR Teacher at the same institution from September 2017 to June 2018.

From 2017 to 2018, Sara worked as a Content Producer at Zero Graus Produções. Currently, they are employed at COFICAB Group, where they started as a Communications Coordinator in July 2018. Sara has since been promoted to the role of Corporate Communications Specialist, starting in June 2021.

Sara Castro has a diverse education history. Sara started their educational journey by obtaining a Licentiate degree in Communication and Economic Relations from the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda, which took place from 2000 to 2008. In 2014 to 2015, they pursued a postgraduate degree in Marketing and Communication from the same institution. Following that, in 2017, Sara attended IEFP and earned a certification in Pedagogical Aptitude as a Certified Trainer. Sara then continued their studies at the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda, where they completed a Master's degree in Marketing and Communication from 2018 to 2020. Most recently, in 2021 to 2022, Sara attended Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Lisboa and obtained a postgraduate degree in Innovation and Business Sustainability.

Additionally, Sara has acquired multiple certifications in various fields. In 2022, they completed the following certifications: "Foundations of Project Management" and "Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project" from Coursera. In 2023, they obtained certifications in "Creative Thinking: Techniques and Tools for Success" and "Storytelling and influencing: Communicate with impact," both from Coursera. Furthermore, in 2022, they completed the certification "Driving business towards the Sustainable Development Goals," also from Coursera.
