Michelle Ellis is an experienced Agricultural Economist with a diverse background in the agricultural sector, currently serving as the Agricultural Economist Lead at COFCO International since December 2018, where responsibilities include drafting and managing budgets. Previous roles include Agricultural Economist positions at VKB Pty Ltd, HORTGRO Science, and Farmsecure Holdings (Pty) Ltd, where tasks encompassed input budget drafting, economic calculations, and business plan development. Earlier experience includes credit control at GWK Beperk/Limited and agricultural economic analyses with the Department of Agriculture. Michelle holds both an Agricultural Economics Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Free State.
