Jose Jorge Gorbea Colón, Ph.D., is a Senior Associate at Cofactor Group, where responsibilities include collaborating with pharmaceutical clients to provide data-driven insights for therapeutic development. Previously, as a PhD Candidate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania from June 2017 to December 2022, contributions included advancing understanding of gene regulation through high-resolution Cryo-EM and mentoring underrepresented students as an IDEAL Research Fellow. Early experience included various research roles and internships at prestigious institutions, including a focus on protein kinases and molecular dynamics, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
