Masad J. Damha, PhD, FCIC, is a distinguished James McGill Professor of Chemistry at McGill University, where a career spans from 1992 to the present, including positions as Department Chair and various professorships. In addition to academic roles, Damha serves on the Scientific Advisory Boards for several companies including Hongene Biotech Corporation, Codexis, Inc., Aro Biotherapeutics, and Deep Genomics. Leadership experience includes presidency of the International Society of Nucleosides Nucleotides & Nucleic Acids and the Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from McGill University, earned between 1983 and 1988, and earlier studies at the Instituto Pedagogico de Managua in Nicaragua.
