Eric Kirsten

Eric Kirsten is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of technology, media, and education. Currently serving as a Founding Partner at Codesmith since August 2015, Eric provides strategic advice to the CEO and Board of Directors for a global software engineering and data science immersive program. In addition to self-employment in the Film/TV industry, Eric has held notable positions such as Director on the Board of Sara Happ Inc., guest lecturer at the University of Southern California, and advisor to Interloper Films, which produces documentaries about influential figures. As a co-founder and CEO of Coolspotters, the company focused on consumer software and was acquired by Disney in 2014. Eric has also held senior roles at ESPN overseeing college basketball programming and served as SVP of Product Management at GlobalCenter, which was acquired for $6.2 billion. Eric's early career includes co-founding a VoIP startup, which was also acquired. Eric holds a BA in Political Science from Duke University and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
