Jānis Tumpelis is an experienced software developer and educator with a focus on Java and Scala technologies. Currently serving as a Java teacher at CODELEX since February 2022, Jānis has also been a Scala and Groovy developer at Evolution since April 2018. Prior to this, Jānis held roles as a Java trainer at Software Development Academy from June 2018 to November 2021 and worked as a full stack Java developer at Proof IT from April 2014 to April 2018. Jānis began the career as a Java developer at D8 Corporation between April 2012 and April 2014, specializing in Liferay portlet development. Jānis holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Latvia University Of Agriculture, obtained in 2014.
