Kumaresh Malli has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and network communications. Kumaresh currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Code-X, a data security company focused on protecting sensitive information and systems. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Chief Architect at Route Weaver and Senior Director at Dispersive Networks, Inc. Kumaresh also worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Ciena, Principal Software Engineer at Hughes Network Systems, and Principal Software Engineer at Sentito Networks (Amsol). Kumaresh Malli has a strong background in software engineering and has worked in various capacities at companies such as Spirent Communications, Cisco Systems, Polaris Networks, and Fujitsu Network Communications.

Kumaresh Malli completed their education chronologically, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University from 1990 to 1993. Kumaresh then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics from Anna University from 1993 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Kumaresh Malli obtained several additional certifications. In 2000, they received the ObjecTime Embedded Software development toolkit from Rational Software and the DSET CMISE Agent development toolkit from DSET Corporation. Furthermore, in 2011, they acquired the Custom MPLS Training certification from Skyline Advanced Technology Services.
