Travis Dodd is an American attorney who is currently serving as the Associate Counsel at Code.org. Travis has a long history of working in the legal field, with experience in both the public and private sectors.
Dodd began their career as an Associate Attorney at Williams & Connolly LLP in 1994. Travis then worked as a Senior Attorney at Williams from 1997 to 2000 before moving to AT&T, where they served as their General Attorney for Privacy from 2000 to 2007.
After a brief stint at T-Mobile from 2007 to 2011, Dodd moved to Microsoft, where they worked as their Senior Attorney for Privacy from 2011 to 2014. Travis then left Microsoft to join Lowe's Companies Inc. as their Senior Counsel & Privacy Officer, a position they held from 2014 to 2017.
In January 2017, Dodd joined AARP as their Associate General Counsel & Privacy Officer. Travis held this position until December 2018, when they left to join Code.org as their Associate Counsel.
Travis Dodd has a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. Travis also has certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in: Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT).
