Mikko Korteniemi is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in the mining and metals sectors, currently operating from an independent office since September 2023. Since 2014, Korteniemi has led their company, Korteniemi Industry Consulting, as a Licentiate Engineer in Technology. Previously, experience includes significant roles at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited, where responsibilities ranged from Superintendent in site services to General Manager, as well as Chief Maintenance Officer at Talvivaara Sotkamo Oy. With a robust educational background including a Licentiate of Technology from the University of Oulu and Teachers Pedagogy Certificates from Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Korteniemi has consistently engaged in enhancing operational excellence, production planning, and maintenance strategies throughout a distinguished career spanning over three decades, including pivotal positions at Outokumpu.
