Kai Sun is a software engineering intern at Cockroach Labs since September 2022, with previous experience at notable companies such as Google, Snowflake, Jane Street, Uber, SingleStore, and BlackBerry. At Google, involvement included Google Cloud and Google Kubernetes Engine as a software developer intern. During the intern roles at Snowflake and Jane Street, contributions focused on query execution and improving system availability, respectively. Research efforts at Uber ATG R&D centered on deep learning for cooperative self-driving technology. Kai Sun holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Statistics from the University of Waterloo, expected completion in 2023.
