Vanessa De Simone serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at Coatue Management since March 2022. Previously, Vanessa held the position of Assistant Regional Director at the Division of Enforcement within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from December 2019 to March 2022, and prior to that served as Enforcement Counsel with the same agency from October 2014 to December 2019. Vanessa's experience includes roles as an Associate at Labaton Sucharow LLP from April 2013 to September 2014 and at Debevoise & Plimpton from September 2004 to March 2013. Additional experience includes serving as a Special Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorneys Office in 2009-2010 and as an Assistant Editor at HarperCollins Publishers from 1998 to 2001. Vanessa holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Art History from Stanford University.
