Laura Kirkpatrick, APR, currently serves as the Membership & Development Coordinator at the Coastal Discovery Museum since January 2024. Previously, Laura held roles in academia as an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina-Beaufort and New Jersey City University, focusing on communication, public relations, and integrated marketing communications. Laura has also worked as the Events & Communication Coordinator for Volunteers in Medicine Clinic and as the Admin/Marketing Coordinator at Baldwin - Safety & Compliance. Notable leadership positions include Executive Director and Marketing Director at Red Bank RiverCenter, as well as Deputy Director of Communications and Director of Public Information & Tourism with the County of Monmouth. Laura's career began as a Public Information Officer at the Monmouth County Park System, and education includes a B.S. in Urban Affairs and Planning from Boston University and an MA in Corporate and Public Communications from Monmouth University.
